THE CONCEPT

Create with the existing

Created in 2019, Vedette was born out of concern for the impact of fashion on the environment. An obvious choice for its creator Lise  who has worked as a stylist and development manager for major fashion houses.
"The design of a brand made from the existing became a priority by seeing the quantities of fabrics thrown away, I saw incredible materials put in the closet, I wanted to use them and put them in the spotlight"

OUR VALUES

TO VALORIZE THE EXISTING MATERIAL

The fabrics used come mainly from dormant stocks of major fashion houses and our wools are recycled .

TO BE CREATIVE

The goal of Vedette is to combine creative fashion with ecological values . The vintage-inspired design with contemporary lines is developed with passion in Paris.

TO PUT FORWARD THE HUMAN AND THE LOCAL KNOW-HOW

Local and French know-how is prioritized and our employees all respect the value of human and labor rights .

TO PRODUCE RESPONSIBLY

The models are produced in limited quantities and sometimes in
pre-order to avoid unsold stock.

THE CREATION OF A COLLECTION

THE CREATOR

Lise Sansen de Vedette.jpg

Lisa SANSEN ,
inscribes her practice at the confluence of the worlds of fashion and innovation. She graduated from the Esmod International school as a Stylist-Modelist . Her creativity was rewarded by the Pernod Fashion Award, which allowed her to work for the great Parisian fashion houses such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Nina Ricci or Carven.

It is by collaborating with different fablabs that she realizes the potential of experimenting with new ways of working that integrate artisans, engineers and designers into the creative process. Mixing textiles and technologies or even manufacturing differently according to environmental requirements thanks to short circuits and upcycling , the search for new horizons is at the heart of its creation and teaching. She thus develops in Paris, the creative consulting studio, Studio Lendemain .

In 2019, she launched Vedette to give a creative second life to dormant fabric stocks and unsold items by valorizing them .

She is also invested in the label Une Autre Mode est Possible.
